Canyoning or Canyoneering - an extension of Waterfall Rappelling is a popular adventure in Europe and the Americas. It is also very popular in Central American countries like Costa Rica.

Canyoning is different from simple waterfall rappels as it is far more involving, requires a great amount of trust, confidence, gear, know-how and manpower. There is continuous action and rarely are you sitting idle and watching others.
Add to this some great local flavours, culture and humor and you have a lovely time in the outdoors.

Odati Adventures now becomes the PIONEER in CANYONING after 2 years of trials. This weekend (19-20 Sept 2009, 2 Days), we successfully completed a 1000Ft canyon that involved 9 abseils (rappels) over waterfalls of different heights and grades. Technically the activity is challenging and extremely satisfying.

Totally we did about 550ft of rappelling, 20ft of waterslides and the balance walking in the gorge.

So if you have done waterfall rappelling and wish to extend your experience and are looking for continuous action, join us for CANYONING. With little rains left, we have a few sessions that you can participate in.
